REF: F0418 Salary £25,000 gross per annum
The Policy and Research Officer leads the research, collation and sharing of information to enable Fairbridge staff to build a powerful case for supporting the organisation. As a member of the communications team, the post also provides a research and intelligence service to help position Fairbridge as an authoritative voice on troubled young people.
The post has a wider cross cutting role in ensuring the central collation, analysis and timely dissemination of information concerning developments in the external environment, which may present a threat or opportunity to the future development of Fairbridge.
The post holder will also input into the development of Fairbridge position statements, respond to government consultations and support the media officer to respond to media stories.

Trainee development Tutor - Fairbridge Edinburgh REF: F0415 £12,350 - (50 week fixed term contract) If you're passionate about working with young people, this is a unique opportunity to gain specialist in-house training and work experience to start your career. You will assist with delivering a range of activities (including cooking and nutrition, sport and fitness, IT, arts, drama) to young people as well as assisting on residential courses involving adventurous outdoor activities(including canoeing, climbing and hill walking). You will also support with maintaining resources and equipment, keeping records and compiling reports. For this post a level-headed, enthusiastic attitude is essential, along with excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to inspire young people. You must also be willing to take part in at least two residential courses per month. Operations Manager - Fairbridge West Midlands (Birmingham) REF: F0412 Starting salary £24,500 gross per annum.
You will work with the Manager of Fairbridge West Midlands to manage our personal development programme for young people, ensuring we deliver innovative life changing courses that enhance the development of personal, social and life skills.
You will be responsible for overseeing the whole development process, from recruiting young people, providing them with one-to-one support and group development activities, to supporting their exit from our programme. With a strong eye for operational details, you will have knowledge and understanding of development processes and experience of staff/volunteer management. Winning the trust and commitment of staff and young people is essential, as is the ability to provide hands-on leadership.
